Set hard limits: initial load size, time-to-interactive, and GPU work. Keep motion subtle and purposeful. If the page melts mid-range devices, you’re paying for bounce rates.
Design standards that scale
Reusable components, consistent typography, and a predictable navigation model make “cinematic” feel professional instead of chaotic. The goal is not maximal effects — it’s maximal clarity.
Animation should support comprehension. If it competes with reading, it loses.
